    Role

The PE Generics Project will require the active participation of the HR community throughout its life span. Community participants will have the opportunity to participate in design working groups and in the validation of tools. Communication with project participants will be carried out through:

    • Discussions at committee, panel and working group meetings,
    • Our quarterly newsletter, PE Generics Update,
    • Regular visits to this website,
    • Frequent consultation with the HR community and other stakeholders.

    Context for PE Work

The PE Community currently operates in a context characterized by three influences:

    • Central Direction—provided through a number of factors, such as over-arching legislation, government-wide policy and its interpretation, the results of union activities and negotiation, and monitoring and audit activities.
    • Policies and Programs—Policies and programs for key areas are integral elements in the work conducted by PEs. These areas include development, functional direction, monitoring and reporting, strategic HR advice, and special HR projects.
    • Client Services—PEs are responsible for providing client services, such as strategic HR advice to managers, support to business planning, and support to employees.
