Governance
Authority and FundingThe Project Authority is the ADM (HR Civ) of DND, with project management delegated to the Executive Director, HR Council. PSHRMAC provides funding through the Classification Reform Horizontal Initiatives Program and will take ownership of, validate, and manage the project’s final deliverables. The Project office is situated within the HR Council Secretariat. The project runs through March 2007. (**What about the role of PSHRMAC as classification authority?**) Steering CommitteeProject oversight is provided through a Steering Committee on which departmental and PSHRMAC representatives sit. The committee chair is the VP, Human Resources for the Canada Border Services Agency, who is also a co-chair for the HR Council. RoleThe role of the Steering Committee is to direct the development and implementation of the project with a particular focus on its financial status, adherence to the Project Plan, and management of issues requiring high-level decisions or intervention. It is also responsible for approving project deliverables prior to implementation. The Steering Committee may create ad hoc technical sub-committees, as needed, including those that may be chaired by a Steering Committee member. AgendaThe Steering Committee meets quarterly. Tle last meeting was held on 2 May 2006 (**link to ROD**). The next meeting is scheduled for (**when?**). Additional Steering Committee meetings may be called when requested by three or more members. Senior Management Advisory PanelA group of (**12?**) senior HR managers from various federal departments and agencies meets quaterly to identify the precise nature of PE work and the organizational context within which it occurs. The panel will work with the PE Generics Project Team in developing the required technical and behavioural dictionaries that will support generic work descriptions and job competency profiles. Update on First Quaterly Meeting, March 2006 Participants proposed a matrix to demonstrate the work streams in which PE work is performed. This exercise will inform and support the working groups responsible for developing detailed organizational contexts, work descriptions, and competency profiles.
