Authority and Funding

The Project Authority is the ADM (HR Civ) of DND, with project management delegated to the Executive Director, HR Council. PSHRMAC provides funding through the Classification Reform Horizontal Initiatives Program and will take ownership of, validate, and manage the project’s final deliverables. The Project office is situated within the HR Council Secretariat.

The project runs through March 2007.

Steering Committee

Project oversight is provided through a Steering Committee on which departmental and PSHRMAC representatives sit. The committee chair is the VP, Human Resources for the Canada Border Services Agency, who is also a co-chair for the HR Council.

Role

The role of the Steering Committee is to direct the development and implementation of the project with a particular focus on its financial status, adherence to the Project Plan, and management of issues requiring high-level decisions or intervention. It is also responsible for approving project deliverables prior to implementation.

The Steering Committee may create ad hoc technical sub-committees, as needed, including those that may be chaired by a Steering Committee member.
